A Heart Is A Spade Interview: Adam Green

By Matt | Published: April 7, 2011

The Wrong Ferarri is out today. Be certain to follow Adam Green on Twitter.

1. How would you summarize The Wrong Ferarri‘s central theme?

The Wrong Ferarri is a morality play wherein a man turns into a pet but then questions whether or not he should overtake his master. It’s about turning 30 and you know what that means – just looking for a little accountability in this world.

2. Will there be a sequel to The Wrong Ferarri?

In a way I think the greatest artistic achievement is to write an epic poem like ‘Don Juan’. I want to make an epic series of movies instead. My next movie is a version of Aladdin – it’s called Adam Green’s Aladdin.

3. What are your all-time favorite films?

My favorite movies are Groundhog Day and UHF by Weird Al.

4. Are there any plans to bring the film to any international festivals?

Yeah, it’s already available everywhere because you can download it for free. So on one hand it doesn’t really matter about festivals but at the same time if anyone wants to screen it anywhere, I encourage it. I think the movie makes sense to watch in a group setting.

5. Your mom makes a fantastic cameo in The Wrong Ferarri – what are her thoughts on the finished product?

My mom told me she likes the movie a lot but I can’t read her mind. Maybe she hates it.
